What a wonderful idea, what a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday and what a wonderful way to have a peaceful protest. I will take these ideas to the next peaceful protest I attend here in Australia (and there have been a lot of them). Thank you for something wonderful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4702804103695626045.post-51889227757919175112007-07-16T10:30:00.000-05:002007-07-16T10:30:00.000-05:00Dear Michael,I caught the last hour of Prostration...Dear Michael,

I caught the last hour of Prostrations for Peace during the gathering at Heartland Café last night and was simply tansported.

I loved how the flags anchored the pier and turned it into a community nexus along the beach.

It was beautiful to see the rows and rows of colouful vertical Tibetan banner flags undulating like fish fins in the lakeside winds, set against a most crimson sunset no less!

I am happy to know that over 500 people had gathered over the course of the happening (from sunrise to sunset) some drumming, some dancing, strangers sitting and talking, eating, being with their dogs.

I look forward to seeing the resulting quilt that will be created with the line of prayer flags that were individually handmade by participants.

Thank you for creating a vibrant, interactive community building intiative that connect us to our common spirit.

Your neighbour in Rogers Park,
ComanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4702804103695626045.post-63446861951806224482007-07-12T16:16:00.000-05:002007-07-12T16:16:00.000-05:00Michael - as a sister of a soldier who was killed ...Michael - as a sister of a soldier who was killed in Iraq, I applaud your event.
